about

"Six Months Of Community Service" is a collection of nine tracks that were originally released over the first six months of 2012. The tracks originate from laptop jams with field recordings and home-made loops and samples. The usual X-Amount traits are here, shortwave radio, feedback and building site noise as well as some new sounds.

The collection is a surprisingly diverse experience, both in terms of sound and mood, ranging from dense, dubby electronica to interesting ambient soundscapes. There are basslines made from motor boat engines and cafe noise, rhythms made from conversation and found sounds, all floating over irresistable bouncing or downright filthy grooves.
